Assistant Quality Control Supervisor- CB

This is a 100% on site role.  Remote work is not offered for this position.

Qualified candidates will be fluent in Spanish (speaking, reading and writing) and previous precast concrete experience.

All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US and will not require current or future sponsorship.

Responsibilities :

  • Manage the Quality Control of all Pre-Pour and Lab Inspectors in :

Scheduling to minimize overtime / manage workload

  • Training
  • Answer all day-to-day questions
  • Administer weekly safety toolbox talks to the inspectors
  • Communicate with engineering for all revision requests
  • Audit concrete quality out of 930 and BMR batch plants
  • Conduct audits on all pre-pour and lab procedures

    • Stressing, pre-pour checks, concrete testing, etc.

  • Oversee curing system processes
  • Oversee daily moisture content readings to both batch plants
  • Oversee and complete all sample requests
  • Input and file gradations and absorptions
  • Assist in testing of mix designs
  • Assist on Daily Concrete Reports
  • Conduct regular yard walks
  • Conduct and organize regular steel shop audits (hardware and mill certificate checks)
  • Complete all tasks assigned by QC manager

    • Knowledge / Skills :

  • Strong computer skills needed; Microsoft Office Proficiency required
  • Ability to read / interpret construction documents and technical journals
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Exhibits good work ethic and decision making

    • Qualifications :

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Capable of obtaining ACI, PCI Level I and II within 6 months of start
  • At least 5 years of precast experience
  • 1 year managing experience
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish and English

    • Salary : $25 - $30
