What are the responsibilities and job description for the Civil Project Manager position at Diamond Ridge Construction?
We’re looking for a dynamic Project Manager/VP that’s ready to hit the ground running. This person will be actively involved in business development, and managing projects with State and Local agencies; to ensure that goals and objectives of the projects are accomplished within budget and on schedule.
The Project Manager will be well-versed in all Phases of engineering practices.

- Highly Motivated to develop new business by utilizing relationships, sales, and networking skills
- Responsible for the management of projects, sub-consultants, and staffing, from start to finish.
- Utilize the company's resource groups for the preparation of estimates, contracts, and other construction documents.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate each phase of the project.
- Provide construction oversight or manage the project's daily activities when needed (Resident).
- Be the key contact with the client, and their consultants and representatives.
- Responsible for local, county, state and federal project code searches and analysis for each project.
- Responsible for assisting in the preparation of proposals to win new contracts.
- Having the ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Ability to mentor and train staff for leadership positions to help the department expand.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a Civil Engineering or related program. Master’s Degree is a plus.
- Current Illinois Professional Engineer license required.
- Current Documentation of Quantities Certification preferred.
- 10 years of field experience in highway and roadway projects, including a background in general engineering services.
- Building and Roadway Construction Management experience.
- Knowledge of IDOT, CDOT, Tollway, and other agencies' systems and operations.
- Strong written and verbal skills, including public speaking.
Salary : $150,000
