What are the responsibilities and job description for the NDT Radiographer - FC position at Diamond Ridge Construction?
- Travel is required for this role, Projects are in Texas, New Mexico, Beaumont, TX, Northeast OH, PA and WV. All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US and will not require current or future sponsorship.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare equipment and materials for radiographic inspections, including setting up the radiographic apparatus.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations pertaining to radiographic testing.
- Conduct radiographic examinations using X-rays or gamma rays.
- Position and adjust the equipment to capture appropriate images.
- Apply techniques such as Real-Time Radiography (RTR) and Digital Radiography (DR) as required.
- Develop the radiographic film in darkroom conditions.
- Assist in interpreting the results of radiographic tests to identify visible defects.
- Document findings accurately for further analysis by Level II or Level III Radiographers.
- Perform routine maintenance on radiographic equipment.
- Calibrate equipment as necessary to ensure accuracy and reliability in test results.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines to protect oneself and coworkers from radiographic hazards.
- Ensure that protective gear is used appropriately and that safety protocols are followed.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure thorough and accurate testing of materials.
Requirements:
- Certification in Radiographic Testing (RT) at Level II from a recognized certifying body.
- Must have a Texas State card, this is required!
- Understanding of basic radiographic testing processes and safety precautions.
- Ability to follow instructions precisely and document findings accurately.
