EXPERIENCED FOREMAN NEEDED FOR MASONRY CONTRACTOR
(Eastern Shore Maryland & all of Delaware)
Starting at $33.00/hr. (negotiable based on experience)
JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking an experienced Masonry Foreman to lead and oversee masonry crews on construction projects. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, extensive masonry experience and the ability to manage projects efficiently while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES (Included but not limited to)
- Supervise and coordinate masonry workers, ensuring efficient workflow
- Read and interpret blueprints, project plans and specifications
- Assign tasks to crew members and oversee daily site operation
- Ensure all masonry work meets project requirements, quality standards and safety regulations
- Order and manage materials, tools and equipment as needed
- Conduct safety meetings and enforce OSHA safety guidelines
- Communicate with project managers, engineers and other trade professionals
- Train and mentor team members, including apprentices
- Troubleshoot and resolve on-site challenges to maintain project timelines
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Proven experience as a Masonry Foreman or Lead Mason
- Strong knowledge of masonry techniques, including brick, block and stonework
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings
- Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations and job site safety protocols
- Physical stamina and strength for labor-intensive tasks
- Valid driver's license
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a masonry apprenticeship program (preferred)
- Multiple years of experience in masonry and construction
