We are seeking a skilled and experienced Level II Industrial Radiographer/Certified Radiographic Testing (RT/CRT) Technician with Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) training and experience to join our dynamic team.
Job Summary: The Level II RT/CRT Technician will perform nondestructive testing (NDT) with a primary focus on radiographic testing, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. This role also involves leveraging RSO training and experience to maintain and promote radiation safety within our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform Level II radiographic testing (RT) and other NDT techniques in accordance with industry standards (e.g., ASNT, ASTM, or equivalent).
· Interpret and evaluate test results with accuracy to ensure compliance with specifications.
· Maintain and calibrate NDT equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
· Supervise and implement radiation safety protocols to comply with state and federal regulations.
· Support the Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) as needed and assist in radiation safety program administration, including maintaining licenses, training personnel, and managing radiation surveys.
· Document test results, prepare detailed inspection reports, and communicate findings with clients and team members.
· Collaborate with project teams to ensure testing requirements align with production schedules.
· Train and mentor junior technicians as needed.
Qualifications:
· Certification as a Level II RT/CRT Technician in accordance with ASNT SNT-TC-1A or equivalent standards.
· Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) training or equivalent experience is required.
· Strong knowledge of radiation safety regulations and practices.
· Proven experience performing radiographic testing and interpreting results.
· Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and specifications (e.g., API, AWS, ASME).
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
· Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites as required.
· Additional certifications, such as UT, MT, PT, or CWI, are a plus.
