What are the responsibilities and job description for the Packager/Palletizer position at Diamond Vogel?
Diamond Vogel has full time position in their Production Department for Packager/Palletizer at their Menomonee Falls, WI, location. Job duties will involve:
- Retrieving and reading the production schedules to determine which jobs will be run during each shift. Perform all start up, shut down, and change over procedures as stated in the standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Continuously monitor quality of products, including package appearance and other checks, and ensure proper components are being used for each job, reporting any quality concerns to supervisor & QA department.
- Responsible for knowing how to run and make small adjustments to equipment/machinery in the assigned production line area.
- Assisting team members in other areas of the production line as needed.
- Ensuring housekeeping standards are maintained by keeping work area clean and conducting a final cleaning near the end of each shift.
- Advocating and practicing the principles of the company safety program.
The right candidate must be able to sit, stand, and walk for the entire shift. Frequent stooping, stretching, bending, turning, reaching, and climbing. Possesses the ability to pull, push, carry, or lift up to 50 lbs. frequently with or without reasonable accommodation. Must have the capability to cross train.
This position requires accuracy & detail. Must be able to work in a team-oriented atmosphere. An understanding of equipment & any production process experience is helpful. On-the-job training will help develop the specific skills needed. 1st shift hours of position are 5:00 am to 3:30 pm Monday through Thursday. Overtime Fridays as needed.
