Overview
The Secondary Set Up position plays a crucial role in our manufacturing process, ensuring that equipment and tools are properly prepared for production runs. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who is skilled in various machining and assembly techniques. The ideal candidate will have experience with CNC machinery, tooling, and materials handling, contributing to the efficiency and quality of our production line. The employee would be working with loopers, presses, diacros, jigs, dies, pneumatic benders, power benders, and ovens. Employee needs to know how to ready a ruler, a square, and calipers.
Duties
- Set up and adjust machinery for production runs, ensuring all specifications are met.
- Operate loopers, benders, diacro's manual and power, presses, and die set ups.
- Collaborate with spring makers to have a secondary set up process ready at time of first article sign offs
- Conduct regular inspections of tooling and equipment to maintain optimal performance.
- Perform materials handling tasks, including loading and unloading materials as needed.
- Apply basic math skills to calculate measurements and tolerances during setups.
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the setup process to minimize downtime.
