Forklift Operator

Job Summary:

As an Experienced Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating various types of forklifts to move, stack, load, and unload materials within our warehouse. You will also assist with inventory management, ensuring that products are stored and distributed accurately, and contributing to a productive and safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate sit-down, stand-up, and other types of forklifts to move materials, products, and pallets throughout the warehouse and production areas.
• Load and unload shipments from trucks, ensuring all goods are safely stored and properly labeled.
• Stack, arrange, and organize inventory in the correct location according to company guidelines.
• Assist in inventory control by ensuring products are accurately logged and maintained.
• Follow all safety protocols and OSHA regulations to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Perform routine checks and minor maintenance on forklifts and other warehouse equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and deadlines.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.

Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
• Valid forklift certification (OSHA-certified or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, including inventory management and shipping/receiving processes.
• Ability to operate various types of forklifts, including [list specific types, e.g., reach trucks, order pickers, counterbalance].
• Excellent safety awareness and a proven track record of following safety guidelines and company protocols.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle physically demanding tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work well independently or as part of a team.

Preferred Skills:

• Basic maintenance knowledge of forklifts and other warehouse equipment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
