Electrical Journeyman

Diamondback Mechanical Group in San Antonio, TX is seeking to hire a full-time Journeyman Electrical Technician to lead a crew in helping our residential and commercial clients keep their lights on and their electrical systems safe. Your schedule would typically be 7:00am-3:30pm, Monday-Friday with optional Saturday overtime if available. Can you quickly complete jobs while ensuring that they are done right? QUALIFICATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Journeyman Or Master Electrical License
• Experience in Commercial and Industrial Electrical Work
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and written reference materials.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instruction
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations
• Ability to diagnose and resolve problems
• Ability to use hand and power tools
• Install wiring, electrical fixtures, power equipment, following current NEC and local code
• Install control and distribution apparatus, including motors, relays, switches, thermostats, circuit-breaker panels for machine
• Install and connect power supply wiring, cables, conduit, and electrical apparatus for machines and equipment in new and existing facilities following diagrams, schematics, or blueprints
• Test continuity of circuits to ensure compatibility and safety of components using testing instruments
• Diagnose and resolve problems in electrical circuits, systems, and equipment using testing instruments and equipment
• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit using rulers, measuring devices, hand tools, pipe threader, and conduit bender.
• Maintain inventory of company-owned tools, equipment, and materials
• Operate tools and equipment according to established safety procedures
• Ensure that equipment is in safe operating condition
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all company guidelines and OSHA safety requirements and also through reporting violations of policies, procedures and guidelines to immediate supervisor
• Communicate with employees, management, vendors in a professional manner.
• Have a valid Journeyman or Master License issued by TDLR
• The Supervisor or his/her designee may assign other duties and accountabilities limited to those consistent with the applicable job function and pay grade.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Must pass background check and drug test
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work from all types of ladders and perform work at various heights from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, or other areas.
• Keep and maintain positive attitude towards completing the job and complying with all company policies.
