Diamondback Mechanical Group in San Antonio, TX is looking to hire a full-time Journeyman Electrician to work closely with project management to accomplish quality installations while adhering to all current electrical codes and safety standards. The typical schedule for this position is 7:00am-3:30pm, Monday-Friday with optional Saturday overtime if available. QUALIFICATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Journeyman Or Master Electrical License
- Experience in Commercial and Industrial Electrical Work
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and written reference materials.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instruction
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations
- Ability to diagnose and resolve problems
- Ability to use hand and power tools
- Install wiring, electrical fixtures, power equipment, following current NEC and local code
- Install control and distribution apparatus, including motors, relays, switches, thermostats, circuit-breaker panels for machine
- Install and connect power supply wiring, cables, conduit, and electrical apparatus for machines and equipment in new and existing facilities following diagrams, schematics, or blueprints
- Test continuity of circuits to ensure compatibility and safety of components using testing instruments
- Diagnose and resolve problems in electrical circuits, systems, and equipment using testing instruments and equipment
- Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit using rulers, measuring devices, hand tools, pipe threader, and conduit bender.
- Maintain inventory of company-owned tools, equipment, and materials
- Operate tools and equipment according to established safety procedures
- Ensure that equipment is in safe operating condition
- Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all company guidelines and OSHA safety requirements and also through reporting violations of policies, procedures and guidelines to immediate supervisor
- Communicate with employees, management, vendors in a professional manner.
- Have a valid Journeyman or Master License issued by TDLR
- The Supervisor or his/her designee may assign other duties and accountabilities limited to those consistent with the applicable job function and pay grade.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Must pass background check and drug test
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work from all types of ladders and perform work at various heights from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, or other areas.
