American Airlines has confirmed an in-person hiring event for Saturday, 2 / 22 / 2025 in Plano, TX.
The talent must be local-Cognizant will not reimburse travel expenses
This event is in person at the following address : 8383 Dominion Pkwy #556, Plano, TX 75024
The hours of the event is from 9am - 4pm CST
Candidates are encouraged to park at the front parking lot as it is easier to access the main lobby doors
Please ensure all candidates bring their government issued ID's when checking in with security. All visitors will receive a temporary badge, and they must ensure it is returned to security upon leaving for the day.
Candidates must bring a personal laptop to complete a coding test
Once candidates pass our internal interview, we will issue them a Purchase Order after completing the required BG checks. Candidates will be paid for at least 2 weeks but have to make themselves available for a face-to-face interview with the client.
Job Description :
Collaborate with leaders, analysts, IT architects, technical leads, and other developers, along with internal customers, to understand requirements and develop applications to meet business requirements
Learn about and implement new technologies to build new features and improve application performance and security posture
Maintain and enhance existing services, applications, and platforms using test-driven development practices
Support the development of coding standards and adhere to best practices and security guidelines
Work closely with software architects and technical leaders to ensure decisions align with long-term enterprise and industry growth forecasts
Troubleshoot complex issues and implement solutions
Contribute to new work specifications and estimates as an active participant in Agile ceremonies and independently
Required qualifications :
Passion, selflessness, and accountability to yourself and the team; ability to work well within a collaborative team environment as well as independently
6 years of Java SE experience designing, developing, and implementing large-scale applications in hosted production environments
Experience in springboot , Microservices, Kafka
Should have development experience in Angular / React
Experience with Agile methodologies (eg. Scrum)
Experience of cloud-native development, deployment, and orchestration : microservice architecture patterns, containers, Azure cloud
Understanding of DevOps and Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment practices
Experience with other tools : Maven, Gradle, Git, Docker, Junit, Mockito
