As we continue to expand our locations regionally, we are seeking an experienced Event and Community Engagement Manager to help us engage with customers. 

• Position: Event and Community Engagement Manager
• Location: Seattle, Washington
• Reports to: Director Marketing
• Direct Reports: Event contractors
• Base Salary Range: $90,000-$120,000 plus annual bonus eligibility, 401K and 100% employer paid health insurance

Role Overview:

Dick’s Drive-In Restaurants is looking for an experienced Event and Community Engagement Manager who can deliver a strategic event plan and connect with community partners in a genuine, kind, and coordinated way. As an iconic fast-food establishment with a storied 70-year history and a passionate customer following, we are looking for more ways to have a genuine connection with our current customers and build relationships with future customers.

The person who fills this role will need to be someone who is a chameleon of sorts; able to work with many different personalities, engage directly with the public, and manage (sometimes complicated) behind the scenes logistics. They will also hire and manage a team of field contractors who will staff events. This person will be expected to support events as needed.

The ideal candidate is someone who has 5 years of marketing and management experience. They will bring with them a passion for customer care and team management. They need to be a strong team player and a clear, direct, and effective communicator. Successful candidates must be driven, self-starting, great collaborators with excellent communication skills, and willing to take on multiple tasks concurrently and pivot as needed based on business needs. 

As we are a small team, this role is a chance to take on multiple essential work streams within the company and have a significant impact in shaping the future of marketing at Dick’s Drive-In Restaurants.

Key Responsibilities:

• Calendar Management: Oversee Event and Community Engagement calendar(s).
• Strategic Planning: Support development of strategic plan for event marketing and sponsorships in coordination with the Director of Marketing. 
• Event Management: Find, negotiate, and activate at area events. 
• Community Engagement and Sponsorship Management
• Develop strategic partnerships with community organizations.
• Engage with and manage relationships for sponsorship.
• Optimize and leverage sponsorship opportunities.
• Seek out new community partners.
• Communication and Reporting: Report back to the business with quantitative and qualitative metrics in a timely manner.
• Team Collaboration: Work with the marketing team to present a cohesive message/look/feel for customers across marketing functions.
• Assist with Contract Negotiations: Support communication and negotiations for both event and sponsorship opportunities.
• Maintain Marketing Supplies: Ensure all supplies are available and in good condition for events and sponsorships.
• Team Management: Find, hire and manage field event contractors.
• Other marketing support as needed
• Assist with digital presence.
• Participate in PR and Media relations when relevant.
• Assist in development of some creative content.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5 years of proven experience in event marketing, preferably direct-to-consumer
• Strong Leadership skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to pivot quickly when things change
• Able to interact with customers and public as a representative of the company
• Demonstrated skill and success in the listed essential Key Responsibilities
• Strong organizational & time management skills to meet deadlines and prioritize work
• Demonstrated strong communication and collaboration skills
• Can to lift up to 50 lbs
• Clean driving record
• Previous experience as a Dick’s Drive-In crew member is always a plus
