Key Responsibilities
- Project Execution:
- Develop and execute visual designs for a range of projects, including websites, marketing materials, branding, social media, and other visual assets.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to understand the needs and translate them into effective visual solutions.
- Use design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Canva) to create and refine designs.
- Deliver completed assets in specified formats and resolutions.
- Manage project timelines and deadlines effectively.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with the team throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide updates on project progress and address feedback promptly.
- Clearly explain design choices and justify creative decisions.
- Align with existing brand look and feel while still bringing a fresh perspective.
- Able to think outside the box and come up with fresh new ideas and bring them digitally to life in quick and easy concept form.
- Self-Management (as a contractor):
- Ensure accurate billing and invoicing.
- Maintain a professional and organized workspace.
- Must be available to work at least 20 hours per week during normal business hours and agree on schedule with the Director of Marketing at the start of the contract.
- Position will be in-person at the Dick’s Drive-In office in Seattle, WA.
- Strong Design Skills: Proven ability to create visually compelling and effective designs.
- Software Proficiency: Expertise in industry-standard design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva).
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Time Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Strong organizational & time management skills to meet deadlines and prioritize work.
- Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Adaptability: Ability to pivot quickly when things change.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve design challenges effectively.
- Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing your best work is essential.
- Team Collaboration: Work with the marketing team to present a cohesive message/look/feel for customers across marketing functions.
- Demonstrated skill and success in the listed essential Key Responsibilities.
- Previous experience in the food & beverage industry, or retail branding is preferred.
