Job Summary:
Our Warehouse Data Entry Clerk has data entry responsibilities pertaining to the shipping and receiving of goods in the warehouse.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Accurate execution and processing of all order fulfillment steps from packing slip preparation to processing of shipping transaction
- Assists with warehouse inventory and maintains database.
- Confirms availability of items to be shipped by verifying inventory records or conducting inventories of required items.
- Assists in completing periodic inventory count.
- Reports stock levels to supervisor.
- Processes paperwork for distribution of equipment and supplies.
- Assists with the ordering of equipment and supplies to maintain appropriate inventory levels.
- Documents all related activities and completes forms and reports.
- Processes paperwork for distribution of equipment and supplies.
- Maintain the filing system and protect confidential customer information
- Performs other related duties as directed.
Qualifications
Core Competencies:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of or ability to quickly learn company product codes and terminology.
- Proficient use of computer programs or ability to learn.
- Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures.
- Good analytical skills and ability to make sound judgments relative to inventory.
Education & Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2 or more years of data entry experience, preferably in a warehouse environment.
- Must be computer literate with inventory software and Microsoft products such as Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None.
Essential Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged sitting and usage of computer and standard office equipment.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 pounds.
- Bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, and pulling may be occasionally required.
- May need to work overtime as required.
- Constant state of alertness and ability to perform in a safe manner.
