Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and outgoing Catering Sales Representative to join our team at Dickey’s Barbecue Pit. This role is perfect for a self-motivated individual who thrives in building relationships, generating leads, and increasing catering orders. The ideal candidate will focus on engaging local businesses, dealerships, stores, and community groups to drive permanent catering partnerships while promoting our brand through free sandwich cards and other outreach strategies.
Responsibilities:
Catering Sales Outreach:
- Make catering calls to existing and potential clients to secure orders.
- Proactively visit 5–10 local businesses, dealerships, stores, or offices daily to promote our catering services and build relationships.
- Distribute 100 "Buy One Get One Free" sandwich cards daily to targeted locations to create awareness.
- Identify and secure repeat catering opportunities from businesses and organizations.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key accounts to ensure permanent catering partnerships.
- Act as a point of contact for customers to provide catering menu options and customized solutions.
Event Support:
- Coordinate with the catering team to ensure timely delivery and excellent customer experience.
- Attend events and promotional opportunities as needed to represent Dickey’s.
Reporting:
- Track and report daily outreach efforts, catering orders, and leads generated to management.
- Identify opportunities for growth and provide feedback on outreach strategies.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Sales or customer-facing experience preferred, especially in the foodservice or hospitality industry.
- Skills:
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently, self-manage, and stay motivated.
- Basic organizational and reporting skills.
- Transportation: Must have reliable transportation for daily outreach.
- Availability: Part-time mornings (Monday–Friday), with occasional flexibility for events.
