What are the responsibilities and job description for the Waitress, Waiters and Waitresses position at DICKEY'S BARBECUE PIT?
Responsibilities:
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently
- Enter orders into the POS system (e.g., Aloha POS) for accurate billing
- Deliver food and beverages to tables in a timely manner
- Provide excellent customer service and address any guest concerns or special requests
- Clear tables and reset them for the next guests
- Assist with food preparation and plating when needed
- Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure smooth service flow
- Follow food safety guidelines to maintain a clean and sanitary work environment
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a server or in a similar customer service role is preferred
- Familiarity with OpenTable or similar reservation systems is a plus
- Strong guest service skills with the ability to provide personalized attention to guests
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic math skills for accurate order taking and billing
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
