POSITION SUMMARY: Drive sales and outreach efforts as it relates to private and group sales for Dickie Brennan & Company. Represents the company with clients and represents sales with operations. Promotes/represents properties and products to local businesses, the tourism industry and social group business.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Strategy
- efforts on meeting or exceeding sales targets developed by management and ownership
- sales metrics (calls made, site tours, new customers, etc.) and provide accurate reports and record keeping as required
- coordinate, and organize outside sales missions to targets and make direct sales contact via face-to-face contact, phone outreach, etc.
- and maintain effective sales presentations targeting both direct (individuals, corporate clients) and indirect (hotels, DMC’s) customer bases
- inquiries via web, phone, restaurant
- in sites tours, menu tastings, booking process, operational updates and client hand off to operations at the event
- Management
- outreach to establish new customers
- regular communication with prior and/or regular customers
- prompt and systematic responses to all customer inquiries and feedback
- and follow up on proposals and negotiate contracts
- in the collection of unpaid client balances
- Interaction
- with Chefs to develop menus for client tastings, seasonal events and special events
- for clients concerning set up, presentation, and timing
- with Management/Ownership to develop new sales tools (i.e. additional products, off-site catering opportunities)
- Management
- the client details once Sales has booked the event
- menu details
- the BEO
- with Client on payment and final signature
- Sales in BEO meetings with Operations Teams
- that Banquet Team has the proper details for upcoming events that are 3 weeks out
- with Sales team and Client on missing details
- the event, secure billing information and update Triple Seat with post event information ie. Final billing and notes
- Sales and Upper Management to any issues regarding the event (Sales team to handle checking with satisfaction directly with the client)
- Representation
- designated functions as a representative of the restaurants
- sales walk-thrus, FAM meals, appropriate CVB sales meetings
- restaurants with clients and sales prospects
- visibility in the hospitality community and represent company in local business meetings to garner sales clients
- and maintain partnerships with other entities such as: Saenger Theatre, the Cabildo, St. Louis Cathedral, Jesuit Church, and related entities
- membership and active participation in industry related organization(s) and remain current on industry trends
- proper training and certifications in agreed upon organizations related to position, i.e. CCE, CMP
- attend appropriate and designated meetings
- as a role model and always presents oneself as a credit to the restaurants and encourages others to do the same
- related work and other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:
- in Business or Marketing preferred
- of five years of experience in Hospitality Sales and/or Marketing, plus three years of experience in sales
- to read and write in English with strong verbal, interpersonal and communication skills
- organizational, multi-tasking, time management, follow-up and analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- leadership and management skills
- in Microsoft Office programs
- to learn new programs like Triple Seat, Open Table, and Toast
- skills including use of e-mails (Microsoft Outlook) and information gathering
- knowledge of the daily operations of a professional office, and standard office equipment
- to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment with a customer service orientation
- efficiently and independently with a drive to succeed

- to manage confidential business, customer and employee information with tact and discretion

- office hours are generally 9am- 5pm, Monday-Friday. Sales Managers are often required to greet clients at events on nights & weekends.
