Sales Manager, Walmart
What will you do?
A day in the life of a Sales Manager for Walmart at Dickies looks a little like this.
Sales Manager for Walmart is responsible for working with current and new accounts to enhance the presence, presentation and sell through of Dickies products within Walmart. This position will use insights to deliver profitable solutions for both the customers and the company. This role works with Mass Tier accounts, functional leaders, Merchandising, Marketing, Product Development, Supply Chain, Finance, Strategy, Consumer Insight, Human Resources, other VF sourcing entities, outside vendors, and contractors. This position reports to the Director of Sales Walmart.
Let’s break down that day-in-the-life a bit more.
Develop and maintain a collaborative relationship with Walmart customers. Ensure that all customer needs are met internally and externally to deliver results. Including, but not limited to budgets, replenishment, planning, forecasting and analysis.
Collaborate with the Director of Sales to deliver presentations to customers and internal stakeholders in person, on the phone and electronically. Maintain regular contact with the customer and internal stakeholders to facilitate sales growth.
Develop a firm understanding of the market and develop/execute strategies to maximize sales. Leverage/understand how Dickies categories drive total retailer success. Develops detailed account plans and strategies for growth.
Gather and maintain data on sales, shipments, inventory levels, forecasts and current trends and generate corresponding reports. Have a firm understanding of sales results, sales funnel and be able to explain what is going on in the business.
Drive volume increases and increase door count penetration within Walmart.
Utilize vendor provided metrics to view and analyze POS, inventory and item information. Analyze gathered data and make proactive recommendations to customers and internal stakeholders.
Collaborates with Merchandising, Marketing and Operations to executed on account plans. Develop and maintain an expertise in Dickies products as well as the competition.
Prioritizes business opportunities to ensure the team is focused on the most important.
Proactively communicate with customer and internal stakeholders to prevent and solve problems.
What do you need to succeed?

Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 5-8 years of experience and professional achievements.
The foundation skills you will need in this position are:
Experience and proven relationships in higher elevated Department Store/Chain channels
Exercise strong problem-solving skills, retail math and computer skills on a daily basis
Systematic approach to critical thinking (overcome objections / find solutions)
Highly proficient in Office, Power Point, Excel, Word, Outlook
Experience and ability to leverage consumer insights to increase sales
Maintains a sense of personal accountability, drives for action and results
Must possess excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Must possess analytical skills to identify opportunities
Ability identify and rectify problem resolutions
Must possess organizational skills and acute attention to details
Proven experience in wholesale
5 years in sales, preferably in Apparel accounts
