- The Catering Supervisor will oversee all phases of banquet operations. Must be enthusiastic, possess excellent communication, organizational and time management skills and have an ability to lead and direct a large banquet staff.
- Plan equipment needs and timelines for a variety of catered events. Make lists and delegate responsibilities to catering staff, or work independently to promptly set-up, service and clean up events in various locations on and off campus.
Hold pre-event meetings with to ensure clear expectations and instructions are given to all scheduled staff. - Determine the ideal time to serve food to ensure the highest quality of services to the customer. Communicate with kitchen staff and the POC of the event as needed.
- Initiate and organize clean-up at the close of each function in order to utilize time as efficiently as possible. Separate items by department to ensure that the unloading and return of dishes and equipment to proper areas is swift and timely.
- Microsoft Teams – Scheduling of casual catering staff.
- Plan for and occasionally lead weekly planning meetings and quarterly all catering staff meetings.
- Inventory and maintain catering equipment, linens, and disposables. Schedule and coordinate rental equipment when necessary.
- Ensure all catering staff adhere to Dickinson Dining Services highest standards of food safety and alcohol safety. Prioritized the guest experience while also protecting and supporting our dedicated staff.
Must have valid drivers license, ServSafe certification or obtain certification once hired, Tips/RAMP Trained or willing to certify once hired
