Essential Functions:
- Coordinate recruitment, selection, on-boarding, and training of a cohort of paid students serving as dialogue assistants. Mentor, supervise, train, and evaluate assistants, serving as the primary coordinator for Dialogue Assistant Program. Work with faculty to identify relevant courses and support integration of dialogue, including support for dialogue curriculum design and assessment.
- Prepare curriculum and supporting materials under the guidance of faculty and staff, coordinate logistics, and co-facilitate an annual civic dialogue immersive training program as well as additional student leadership programs within the Center for Civic Learning & Action (CCLA).
- Compile training and facilitation resources and stay abreast of new scholarship in support of the Dialogues Across Differences program. Assist the Dialogues Across Differences team with faculty development and data collection initiatives.
- Serve as a primary contact for campus and community partners for the Dialogues Across Differences Program, building trust and proactively maintaining relationships with multiple stakeholders.
- Work with faculty and staff of the Center for Civic Learning & Action (CCLA) to connect existing and new programs to the Dialogues Across Difference program. Serves as a member of the CCLA staff leadership team to further our mission to develop ethical civic leaders who collaborate in the pursuit of just and resilient communities.
