JOB SUMMARY
The Social Worker - BSW evaluate the impact of psycho-social problems on identified patients in accordance with physician's prescribed plan of treatment.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
Minimum Required : Bachelor of Social Work Degree from accredited university.
Preferred / Optional : None
EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES
Minimum Required : One-year social work experience in an acute care hospital or health related agency. Understanding of community health, welfare, and social agencies. Ability to communicate well and work effectively with patients and / or families, physicians, other home health staff, community agencies and public.
Preferred / Optional : Home health experience.
CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES
Minimum Required : Current social work certification by applicable state. Applicable state board of licensing and regulation certification within 30 days from date of hire. BCLS within 30 days from day of hire. Must possess valid driver’s license, automobile insurance and a reliable vehicle.

JOB SUMMARY
The Social Worker- MSW provides Social Services to patients and their family. Act as a liaison between medical, nursing staff, patients, relatives, and appropriate outside agencies to facilitate the needs of the patient.

Minimum Required : Must be able to communicate well and work effectively with patients and / or families, physicians, other hospital staff, community agencies, and the public. Must be capable of assuming some management responsibilities when department manager is unavailable. Must be able to work under varied and changing conditions on a daily basis. Must have knowledge and understanding of community health, welfare, and social agencies.
Preferred / Optional : Experience in an acute care hospital or healthcare agency preferred, along with an understanding of medical terminology.
