POSITION SUMMARY:
- Enhance the Education Foundation’s visibility, fostering community engagement, and supporting its mission to advance educational programs through strategic fundraising and outreach efforts
- Work closely with the Director to develop and implement initiatives that strengthen community partnerships, donor relationships, and fundraising campaigns
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
- Bachelor’s (preferred) in Education, Community Development, Public Relations, Business
Experience:
- 2-5 years of experience in community outreach, event planning, nonprofit fundraising, or donor relations (preferred)
- Experience with Social Media and Digital Communication
- Experience in grant writing and fundraising campaigns (preferred)
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and public speaking skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
- Experience in donor cultivation and partnership development
- Strong organizational and event coordination skills
- Proficiency in social media, digital marketing, and outreach strategies
- A passion for community involvement and enhancing public education
- Knowledge of nonprofit financial management and compliance (preferred)
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Community Outreach & Engagement:
- Maintain a calendar of outreach activities, including community events, workshops, and donor engagement opportunities
- Assist with developing and nurturing relationships with local businesses, community organizations, and district stakeholders to enhance foundation visibility
- Coordinate the representation of the foundation at public events, school functions, and fundraising initiatives
- Organize and conduct workshops that support community education and foundation programs
- Recruit, screen, and manage volunteers in collaboration with the Director and Foundation Board
- Other duties as assigned
Event Planning & Fundraising:
- Support, develop, and execute fundraising initiatives, including
- Annual gala and special events
- Corporate giving campaigns
- Community and parent-led fundraising programs
- Grant proposals and donor stewardship
- Assist in planning and coordinating special donor/volunteer appreciation events
- Oversee event logistics, including securing venues, coordinating vendors, and managing outreach efforts
- Assist in the cultivation and development of sponsorships and funding proposals
- Other duties as assigned
Program Development & Financial Oversight:
- Assist in managing and promoting the grant programs, including application coordination and grant review processes
- Support scholarship programs by securing donors, coordinating selection processes, and ensuring proper tracking of funds
- Track and report performance metrics related to outreach, fundraising, and program success
- Support financial oversight, including maintaining accurate records of donations and expenses in compliance with nonprofit regulations
- Other duties as assigned
Marketing, Public Relations & Communications:
- Maintain and enhance the foundation’s online presence, including website and social media platforms
- Develop and distribute marketing materials, press releases, and community engagement content
- Represent the foundation in public speaking engagements to promote awareness and donor engagement
- Collaborate with the Director and Foundation Board to align outreach strategies with organizational goals
- Assist the superintendent at campus and community events by providing enthusiastic support and fostering a positive, energetic atmosphere
