Position Summary:
The Quality Outreach Specialist will be responsible for proactively engaging with patients and providers to improve quality measure performance, particularly within the MIPS framework. This role requires a deep understanding of MIPS requirements, clinical workflows, and patient engagement strategies. The ideal candidate will possess a strong medical background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for driving quality improvement.
Responsibilities:
- MIPS Performance Management:
- Monitor and analyze MIPS performance data to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize performance across all MIPS categories (Quality, Improvement Activities, Promoting Interoperability).
- Stay up to date on evolving MIPS requirements and guidelines.
- Educate providers and staff on MIPS measures and reporting requirements.
- Patient Outreach and Engagement:
- Proactively contact patients to schedule appointments, ensure adherence to treatment plans, and collect necessary data for quality reporting.
- Provide patient education on relevant health topics and quality measures.
- Address patient inquiries and concerns related to quality initiatives.
- Develop and implement patient outreach programs to improve patient engagement and satisfaction.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Generate and analyze reports on quality measure performance.
- Identify trends and patterns in data to inform quality improvement initiatives.
- Present findings to providers and leadership.
- Maintain accurate records of all patient interactions.
- Quality Improvement Initiatives:
- Participate in the development and implementation of quality improvement projects.
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to quality management.
- Stay abreast of current best practices in quality improvement.
Qualifications: Strong medical background with a thorough understanding of clinical terminology and workflows.
- High school education or GED completion
- Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse experience preferred, experience in health care is acceptable.
- Proven experience with MIPS reporting and quality improvement initiatives.
- Excellent knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Experience with data analysis and reporting tools.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Epic EHR.
- Experience with patient portal utilization and education.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 β 40 per week
