What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receipt Entry Clerk position at Dickson Medical Associates?
Under the direction of the Director of the Business Office, the Receipt Entry Clerk is responsible for securing revenue by verifying and posting receipts; resolving discrepancies, while participating in a team environment that includes open communication, trust, accountability, and mutual respect.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Minimum requirements include:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One plus years of experience in medical receipt entry, and additional experience in medical billing or medical accounts receivables.
- Experience in Automated Medical Billing Systems and Practice Management Software is Highly Desired, NextGen preferred.
- MS Office preferably in Excel and Word.
- Ability to work with limited supervision; possess strong verbal communication skills, good organization skills and attention to detail.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties to include the following:
- Posts customer payments by recording cash, checks and credit card transactions.
- Posts revenues by verifying and entering transactions from lock box and other deposit sources.
- Posts contractual adjustments per source documents.
- Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
- Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $21.00 per hour
