We are seeking a dynamic full-time Phlebotomist to join our team and support both our Integrative clinic in Anacortes, WA and provide coverage at our new satellite clinic in Bellingham, WA as needed. This is a great opportunity to work on a collaborative care team. In this role you'll work closely with our dedicated care team by delivering high-quality care to patients enrolled in our opioid addiction treatment program. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, youll play an essential role in improving recovery outcomes by empowering our patients by addressing their unique health needs and fostering their journey to sustained recovery.

What Youll Do
- Verify patient identification and explain sampling procedures to patients.
- Select gauge needles and prepare veins or fingers for blood drawing.
- Obtain blood specimens through venipuncture or finger sticks.
- Ensure optimal quality and quantity of samples.
- Adhere strictly to chain of custody in handling collection, samples, and information to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Keep accurate records on fluid specimens and tests.
- Label samples accurately and send them for testing.
- Maintain records electronically and in patient Electronic Health Record of blood, urine, and/or other test submissions. Updates client data as necessary to ensure accuracy.
- Complete and file all requisite paperwork and documentation accurately and in a timely fashion.
- Cleans, maintain, and calibrates laboratory equipment used in the drawing and testing of blood specimens.
- Order laboratory supplies as needed.
- Maintain high standards of ethical and professional conduct and adheres to all didgalic Wellness Center personnel policies.
Must Have's
- 2 years of hands on experience drawing blood, handling specimen samples, and the use of relevant medical equipment. This should include very recent and or current experience.
- Phlebotomy certification.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of testing protocols and the use of testing equipment.
- Ability and willingness to commute and work in our Anacortes, WA AND our Bellingham, WA clinic as needed.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Knowledge of substance use disorders and their effects on individuals, families, and communities.
- In-depth knowledge of Electronic Health Records (EHRs) and health-related computer software applications.
- Strong computer and software experience using MS Office products.
- Effective communication; written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution.
- Ability to work in a cross-culture environment.
- Understanding and ability to adhere to state (RCW, WAC) and federal confidentiality regulations (42 CFR part 2).
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check, pre-employment drug screening, and reference check.
