• Associates or Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or similar discipline.
• Minimum 4 years experience using 2D & 3D design and modeling software.
• Proven track record designing multi-axis motion mechanisms.
• Familiarity with stress and failure analysis calculations including GD&T, FEA and CFD. Shall :
• Design robotic End of Arm Tooling applications (End Effectors) including : -Impactive End Effectors - Jaws and claws which physically grasp by direct impact upon substrates. -Ingressive End Effectors - Pins, needles and hackles which physically penetrate the surface of components. -Astrictive End Effectors - Vacuum or magnetic suction force applied to the components and substrates. -Contigutive End Effectors - Requiring direct contact for adhesion by glue, surface tension, freezing, etc.
• Design, or design integration of components including : - Linear motor driven XYZ motion systems - Vacuum pumps - Digital optic vision systems
