REMOTE WORK FROM HOME AVAILABLE

Seeking track record with active indemnity claims involving time lost from work and medical to manage and adjust complex, higher dollar Workers' Compensation claims in an independent manner according to state regulations and company best practices standards.

  • Conduct initial claim reviews with appropriate parties, including but not limited to employer, claimant, and medical providers.
  • Develop and recommend claim strategies.
  • Recommend care management strategies, coordinate rehabilitation or medical management, process bills, and monitors progress when appropriate.
  • Maintain files and continuing review and referral of submitted documents, evidence, records, and reports for sensibility and accuracy, including but not limited to compensability assessments and controversy reviews.
  • Attend to possible fraud including coordinating with state and local authorities and appropriate third parties as warranted.
  • Work with defense counsel on disputed claims.
  • Regularly review files regarding medical treatment status, return to work status, job search activity; settlement interest, and subsidy coordination of benefits.
  • Provide general support to attorneys for hearing purposes, settlements, case appeals, and other claim actions.
  • Determine reserves and adjustments, ensure justification and report to all relevant parties.
  • For authorized expenditures, implement payments and offsets.
  • Communicate with Second Injury Funds, Funds for Reopened Cases, excess insurance carriers, third party liability settlements, etc. for appropriate and timely third party reimbursement.
