As a key member of the executive team, the Director of Operations will lead and oversee all aspects of the manufacturing process, ensuring excellence in manufacturing, quality control, supply chain, and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities :
- Leadership & Strategy
- Provide leadership for the day-to-day operations of the facility, ensuring alignment with the company's mission and growth objectives.
- Work closely with senior leadership to develop and implement strategic plans that drive operational excellence, market competitiveness, and long-term sustainability.
- Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation by encouraging the adoption of Integrated Lean Six Sigma principles.
- Analyze workforce requirements, remove production constraints, and allocate resources to achieve efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and established production goals.
- Drive investment and maintain an annual conversion and yield roadmap to support cost reduction and productivity strategies.
- Safety, Quality, & Compliance
- Partner to initiate, maintain, and support a superior safety program, ensuring all team members are aligned with safety guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety, regulatory, and quality assurance standards, including FDA, SQF, and customer expectations.
- Collaborate with quality personnel to monitor product consistency, scrap rates, and identify areas for improvement.
- Team Development & Culture
- Build and develop a high-performing and highly-engaging operations team by focusing on leadership growth, training, engagement, and retention.
- Financial & Business Oversight
- Develop, execute, and maintain the budget for the manufacturing facility while driving cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
- Support strategic initiatives, such as category growth and new product launches, to align production with market demand and customer expectations.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to align operational capabilities with business objectives.
- Community & Mission Alignment
- Champion the company's mission to positively impact lives through exceptional products and meaningful community engagement. Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Food Science, Engineering, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
- 7-10 years of leadership experience in food manufacturing or a similar industry.
- Proven success in an executive leadership role such as Director of Manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards, operational best practices, and regulatory compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams and manage large-scale projects with measurable results.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on collaboration and relationship-building.
