Job Summary:
The Quality Assurance (QA) Technician will ensure the highest standards of quality and safety in our potato chip manufacturing process. This role involves monitoring and testing products, inspecting processes, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Testing and Inspection:
Perform routine quality checks and tests on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
Conduct sensory evaluations, including taste, texture, and appearance tests.
Use laboratory equipment to perform chemical and physical tests.
Process Monitoring:
Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with company quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Conduct regular inspections of production lines, equipment, and storage areas.
Identify and report any deviations from quality standards to supervisors.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate and detailed records of all quality tests and inspections.
Prepare and submit quality assurance reports to management. Assist in the development and revision of quality assurance procedures and protocols.
Compliance and Audits:
Ensure compliance with food safety standards, including HACCP, GMP, and FDA regulations.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify areas for improvement in the production process and suggest solutions.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a quality assurance role in the food industry, preferably in snack foods or potato chips.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality assurance standards. Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Working Conditions:
Ability to work in a production environment, which may involve exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and standing for extended periods.
