Description
This position is responsible for installing, moving, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility support equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in all phases of moving and assembling equipment and furnishings throughout the facility, i.e., running conduit, hydraulic lines, air lines, etc.
- Provide production operation support by performing PM’s on equipment, i.e. cleaning, changing out motors, filters, bulbs, etc.
- Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas.
- Maintain equipment in an energy efficient, safe manner, keeping down time to a minimum.
- Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them.
- Work independently or with a team on troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues.
- Provide training and support to co-workers and operators
- Prepare hazardous waste for proper disposal/shipment according to policy.
- 2 year technical degree or 3 years of experience maintaining systems in a manufacturing environment
- Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, HVAC and other systems
- Experience with PLC’s preferred
- Basic computer operation, experience with using software in manufacturing operation
- Ability to work independently and plan work without direct supervision.
- Frequent climbing, bending, lifting, kneeling, stooping, and working/extending overhead.
