Job Responsibilities: Location: Victor, Iowa Summary: The Production Material Handler will support manufacturing by safely and efficiently operating a forklift to move material and complete required documentation in accordance with company procedures and guidelines. Job Responsibilities: The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be assigned and required. Safely operate forklift to load and unload trailers and to move material as needed Ensure equipment is in safe, working order by completing daily inspection following checklist guidelines. Immediately reports concerns with equipment Complete preventative maintenance on equipment as required Complete documentation as necessary to support correct inventory levels Verify product prior to shipment to ensure correct product and quantity is shipped Report all incidents/near misses to Supervisor Follow and support Magna Body & Chassis Iowa’s and Magna’s operating principles Support efforts to achieve department and plant goals on Employee Opinion Survey Support plant safety initiatives and always works within safety guidelines Supervisory Responsibilities: None Education and/or Experience: None Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to obtain forklift certification within first 30 days Attention to detail a must to complete paperwork accurately Ability to multi-task continuously to manage line products Physical Demands: As identified on the Material Handler – Production functional job description Environmental Conditions: Normal factory environment as well as external conditions Awareness, Unity, Empowerment: At Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
