LOCATION: JoAnn Walters Elementary
Qualifications:
- Valid Arkansas certification as Elementary Principal
- Experience as an elementary administrator preferred
REPORTS TO: Superintendent
JOB GOAL: To use leadership, supervisory, and administrative skills to promote the educational development of each student.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
To plan, develop, and implement the total curricular and extra-curricular program of the school.- To plan and direct the in-service education of the staff.
- To visit classes frequently and serve as a resource person to provide individual help to teachers.
- To coordinate with Personnel selection and assignment of all personnel.
- To evaluate all assigned personnel.
- To establish and maintain good relationships between pupil-staff, school-community, school-central office and administration-staff.
- To coordinate the total school program with programs of other schools.
- To establish, publish, and maintain the policies, rules and regulations of the school.
- Perform all duties as outlined by PCSSD school board policies and/or Federal and State guidelines.
- To maintain and report necessary attendance records.
- To maintain and report necessary pupil and staff personnel records.
- To maintain proper discipline and promote principles of good citizenship.
- To assign and schedule students.
- To administer the financial affairs of the school and properly account for all funds of the school.
- To care for and account for the equipment of the school.
- To develop and maintain a continuous assessment of the school's instructional program in cooperation with other instructional personnel.
- To affirmatively implement the district desegregation plan in the school and monitor the degree of effectiveness.
- To monitor and/or supervise maintenance and custodial services of the school.
- Delegate authority to responsible personnel to assume responsibility for the school in the absence of the principal.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Salary: Per Salary Schedule
Length of Contract: 240 days starting July 1, 2025

The performance of this job will be evaluated according to provisions of the Board's policy on the Evaluation of Professional Personnel.
