Job Overview:
Dietitian Live is seeking a skilled and motivated Director of Accounting and Finance to oversee all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures. As a department of one, this role will handle the financial operations of Dietitian Live, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all financial activities. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who thrives in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manages all accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and general ledger maintenance.
- Prepares timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Conducts monthly reconciliations and maintains general ledger integrity for Dietitian Live.
- Oversees budgeting and forecasting processes, analyzes variances, and provides financial insight to support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborates with COO to streamline Salesforce reporting capabilities.
- Develops and documents business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Manages cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports.
- Ensures compliance with GAAP and relevant tax laws and prepares required tax documents.
- Provide financial analysis, trend reporting, and ad hoc financial reports as needed.
The role has the opportunity to add additional headcount based on resource needs.
Requirements:Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a Controller or similar role.
- Experience in managing books for multiple entities or locations is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks accounting software and advanced Excel skills are required.
- Experience with Accounting Seed preferred.
- Salesforce reporting experience is highly preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of GAAP and experience with financial reporting and budgeting.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to present complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.

This is a 100% remote position with some travel required to attend leadership meetings. The leadership team is located in Eastern and Central time zones.
