Primary Duties
Inspects and tests company vehicles, company box trucks, and company tractor trailers.
Must be able to troubleshoot/diagnose truck engine and emission systems.
Utilize scanning tools.
Perform minor and major repairs on trucks and trailers
Complies with state vehicle and DOT vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards.
Conduct regular preventative maintenance on service trucks, including inspection, tire rotation and oil changes
Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock and placing orders for necessary parts.
Maintains vehicle records by recording service and repairs.
Perform all other related duties and assignments as needed.
What you Bring
Experience or formal training diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel tractors
Either you possess a CDL A or the ability to acquire the license with the assistance of our trainer
Possess quality hand tools
Possess flexibility to work overtime and Saturdays if needed
mechanical, transport refrigeration, and/or electrical systems repair and diagnostic experience a plus.
CDL B /PA state inspection license is a plus
ASE Diesel Certification an asset
Knowledge of refrigeration: reverse and cold plate refrigeration, and Thermal King Unit refrigeration a plus
Minimum Requirements
Physical Requirements
Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
Capability to stand in one place for 80% of the shift (8+ hours per day)
Capability to walk throughout department for 20% of the shift (8+ hours per day)
Capability to lift to 100 lbs. on a frequent basis with reasonable accommodation.
Requires the frequent use of both hands and arms
Capability to bend, twist, and squat as needed throughout the shift (8+ hours per day)
Must be able to work in a Safety Sensitive Position.
