Job Summary:
Dietz & Watson is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Part-Time Merchandiser to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for assisting with sales and creating brand awareness in the deli department.
About the Role:
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and customer service skills, as well as the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. You will be expected to maintain a high level of product knowledge and stay up-to-date on company promotions and initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a deli slicer
- Set up deli cases and rotate products as needed
- Understand and execute schematics/planograms
- Maintain marketing displays using Dietz & Watson's Point of Sale (POS)
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with store deli managers and employees
- Provide exceptional customer service and respond to customer concerns in a timely manner
- Collaborate with the merchandising team to achieve 100% distribution and explore opportunities for sales growth
- Perform special projects outside of assigned territory
Requirements:
- Flexibility to travel up to 30% of the time
- High school diploma or equivalent required; 1-2 years of customer service/sales experience preferred
- Must have a reliable vehicle and valid driver's license
- Ability to pass the company-issued ServSafe Manager exam
