Position Summary
Our company is seeking a highly skilled Rail Operator to oversee the day-to-day functions and maintenance of our rail infrastructure loading and unloading railcars, transferring Frac sand by conveyors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the rail line is maintained in accordance with established safety standards and company guidelines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Works safely, adheres to health and safety rules and uses appropriate PPE.
- Follows directions and completes tasks in a timely manner.
- Operate a railcar mover to assist with loading and unloading of incoming product.
- Operate specialized machinery to facilitate the loading process.
- Inspect rail cars for damage before and after loading.
- Ensure that loads are secured properly to prevent shifting or damage during transport.
- Maintain logs and records of loading activities.
- Ensure compliance with safety guidelines and regulations.
- Perform routine maintenance on loading equipment and machinery.
- Communicate and coordinate with other crew members to ensure efficient operations.
- Monitor and report any irregularities or safety concerns to supervisors.
- Perform physical activities such as lifting and moving heavy items.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Minimum 1 year experience in a rail yard or similar environment preferred
- Knowledge of safety regulations and operating procedures
- Ability to operate and maintain loading equipment
- Physically capable of heavy lifting and working in all weather conditions
- Must be able to read and be proficient with simple math.
- Basic computer skills are required.
- Must be able to communicate effectively, using both written and spoken forms of communication.
- Must be a self-starter and be able to work with close supervision.
- Must be willing to work any assigned shift, overtime, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis and be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have high safety standards for self and others.
- Must be able to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate effectively with others.

- Lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and/or pulling; climbing and balancing; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant finger dexterity necessary 75 pounds of weight from 33% - 66% of the time (2.5 - 5.5 hrs./day)
- Personal Protective Equipment: Safety glasses, hard hat and steel toe boots must be worn at all times. Hearing, respiratory and/or fall protection equipment must be worn when required.

Salary : $23 - $25
