Field Construction Supervisor

Job Summary

We are looking for a self-motivated, well-organized, highly experienced person who can lead, control, and command all field subs and workers in the field. The ideal candidate will be someone who has 10 years in the construction and remodeling field with experience doing commercial fit-outs and ground-up builds. They will be willing to travel to various project locations in Florida and will be able to work / labor on jobs when necessary. This position requires strong skills in time management, familiarity with construction management, time management, and good interpersonal skills. They will work closely with the owner, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to ensure that projects are completed on time and within scope. A skilled field construction supervisor can ensure that construction projects run smoothly and achieve desired outcomes effectively.

Responsibilities

• **Hands-on Carpentry**: Perform carpentry tasks as needed, including framing, installing fixtures, and finishing work, contributing actively to the project.
• Experience repairing, constructing, and installing structures such as floors, doors, walls, windows, stairways, furniture assembly, cabinets, shelves, and finishing work as well as some light plumbing and painting.
• Quality Control: Inspect work performed by team members to ensure it meets and/or exceeds industry standards and project specifications.
• Problem Solving: Identify issues that arise during construction and implement effective solutions to keep the project on track.
• Communication: Liaise with subcontractors, clients, and project managers to provide updates, discuss concerns, and ensure alignment on project goals.
• Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints and technical shop drawings to guide the construction process and inform team members.
• Facilitate meetings with stakeholders to discuss project updates and gather feedback.
• Assist in the coordination of project schedules, budgets, and resources.
• Manage contract documentation and ensure compliance with project specifications.

Qualifications

• Proven 10 experience working in the construction and remodeling field.
• Need to have a reliable vehicle, tools, and a valid driver's license.
• Need to be able to travel to various project locations in Florida.
• Able to effectively supervise sub-contractors and their work to completion.
• Strong understanding of contract management processes and documentation.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for clear interaction with team members and clients.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
