We are seeking an Accounting Manager to lead the financial responsibilities of the company, by preparing and reviewing the financial reporting package, collaborating with the executive and management teams to provide accurate forecasting and budgets, and to provide financial guidance to make company decisions. They will also help administer company benefits and on-board employees. This role is essential in ensuring accurate financial processes and a seamless employee experience.
Position Overview
The Accounting Manager will be responsible for preparing and reviewing the financial reporting packages. This includes all essential reports needed to make company decisions. They’ll work closely with team members to provide accurate and timely information to the executive team. They will also be responsible for the day-to-day functions of accounts payable, accounts receivable, asset management, and payroll.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review the monthly financial reporting package. This includes all supplemental reporting and presenting the results to the executive team.
- Prepare the annual financial budgets and monthly financial forecasts, including cash forecasting. Work with various team members to understand how projects are performing and what needs the company has based on current projections. Review updated forecasts and cash flows with the executive team.
- Manage yearly financial audits, reviews, and tax compliance reporting.
- Process accounts payable invoices, pay vendors, create accounts receivable invoices, manage customer collections, and process payroll.
- On-board new employees by enrolling them in benefits and payroll.
- Assist with benefits administration and HR policy adherence.
- Additional responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes.
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and organizational abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.
- Exposure to or experience supporting benefits administration.
- Construction industry experience preferred but not required
