About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Security Analyst II to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in protecting our clients’ IT environments by implementing, managing, and troubleshooting security solutions, with a strong focus on Office 365 security and third-party security tools.
As part of a growing Managed Service Provider (MSP), you’ll work directly with clients to ensure security best practices are in place, troubleshoot complex security issues, and develop policies to strengthen their security posture. You’ll also be responsible for documentation, security application management, and collaboration with internal teams to resolve threats efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Office 365 Security Management – Configure, manage, and enhance Office 365 security settings, including Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and custom security policies.
- Threat Mitigation & Troubleshooting – Investigate and resolve security incidents, including tenant, email, and device compromises.
- Third-Party Security Tools – Deploy and manage tools such as Huntress, CyberHoot, and other security solutions to enhance client security.
- Microsoft Lighthouse Configuration – Set up and manage Microsoft Lighthouse to ensure proper security monitoring and compliance across client environments.
- Security Policy Development – Create, implement, and maintain security policies tailored to clients’ needs while ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Cybersecurity Applications – Work on cybersecurity initiatives and ensure security tools and protocols are properly integrated.
- Documentation & Reporting – Maintain detailed documentation of security configurations, incidents, and policies for internal use.
- Client Communication & Training – Explain security concepts in simple terms to stakeholders, VIPs, and non-technical staff, while also conducting security awareness training when needed.
- Collaboration & Escalations – Work with internal teams to address security concerns and provide expert-level support.
Experience & Skills
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on Office 365 security.
- Strong expertise in configuring and troubleshooting Office 365 security features (MFA, security policies, compliance settings, etc.).
- Experience working with third-party security tools like Huntress, CyberHoot, and similar platforms.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Lighthouse for managing security across multiple client environments.
- Deep understanding of cyber threat detection, response, and mitigation strategies.
- Proven ability to create, document, and implement security policies and procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills – able to translate complex security concepts into simple, actionable steps for clients and internal teams.
- Ability to mentor junior security team members and act as a technical lead when needed.
Preferred Certifications (Not Required but a Plus)
- CompTIA Security or equivalent
- Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals
- CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
- CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker)
