What are the responsibilities and job description for the Endoscopy Technician position at Digestive Care Center?
Digestive Care Center is seeking a Full Time Endoscopy Technician in our Endoscopy Center. The Endoscopy Tech assists the physician during procedures according to physician’s orders and in conformance with established policies and procedures.
NO experience or certification required! On the job training offered.
What You Need for this Position:
- CPR Certification required or obtained within 6 months
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to evaluate problem situations with judgment and discretion
- Prioritize and manage several tasks simultaneously
- Must be able to document in a clear and concise fashion
- Must be able to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and co-workers
What You Will Be Doing:
- Cleaning, sterilizing and maintaining medical equipment in the Endoscopy Center
- Maintaining equipment, supplies and accessories to ensure proper use & function.
- Following policies for appropriate disinfection of endoscopes.
- Cleaning and sterilizing endoscopic accessories according to policies & procedures.
- Demonstrating calmness and professionalism throughout the procedure.
- Promoting an optimal patient environment.
- Anticipating patient and physician needs for each individualized procedure.
