Position Requirements
- Minimum 1-year experience with referrals, authorizations, and insurance verification.
- Strong understanding of insurance plans.
- Knowledge of NIA, AIM, availability, and other authorization processing sites.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Multitask with accuracy and efficiency.
- High volume insurance verification.
- Obtain referrals for office visits.
- Obtain authorizations for procedures done in an office, hospital, and ambulatory surgical center;
- Obtain authorizations for outpatient testing.
- Maintain referrals and authorizations in the EMR system.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
- Ability to view a computer screen for extended periods of time.
- Ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions for extended periods of time.
- Ability to converse and hear over the phone and in-person in a professional manner.
- Work is performed in an office work environment.
- Very limited physical effort is required.
- Limited exposure to physical risk.
