Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare purchase orders by reviewing and verifying purchasing requisitions
- Collaborate with internal teams to determine procurement needs and specifications
- Identify potential suppliers, evaluate quotes, and negotiate prices, terms, and conditions
- Review and compare supplier contracts to ensure compliance with company policies
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels to meet production demands and minimize stockouts
- Coordinate delivery schedules and shipping logistics with suppliers and internal departments
- Resolve discrepancies between purchase orders and received items, ensuring accurate and timely reconciliation
- Communicate and build relationships with suppliers to improve procurement processes and resolve issues
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other relevant information
- Assist in analyzing inventory levels, supplier performance, and market trends to support decision-making
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in purchasing or supply chain management is a plus
- Proven work experience as a Purchasing Clerk or in a similar role
- Solid understanding of procurement practices and principles
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, specifically Excel, for data analysis and reporting
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Familiarity with inventory management software is a plus
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Must be highly reliable and possess a strong work ethic
