Certified Lifeguards work at multiple safety locations in the water park where they ensure the safety of swimmers, water slide participants, and water activity participants. Lifeguards explain and enforce safety rules, and perform rescues of people needing assistance and in danger. Lifeguards will also be trained in life saving skills and first aid. Lifeguards will be trained and must work well individually and in a team setting. Lifeguards must maintain focus and discipline at all times in this safety sensitive position. Must be able to swim
Requirements
- Meet minimum age requirement of 15 years of age to be considered for this position.
- Strong swimming skills
- Maintain test-ready skills to obtain and maintain StarGuard Elite Lifeguard Certification
- Show strong commitment to following safety protocols and preventing injuries.
- Demonstrate ability to follow instructions.
- Be mature and reliable.
- Physical fitness and the ability to react quickly in emergency situations.
- Must be able to stand, sit, and perform physical tasks for several hours.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment as needed (up to 50 pounds).
- Ability to swim continuously for extended periods and perform rescues when necessary.
