Description
Under general direction of the Director of Sales, provides leadership and management in securing crane, heavy hauling, and rigging jobs through accurate, fair, and efficient proposals. Willingly builds positive relationships with Company personnel to ensure that the proposed work is conducted thoroughly, effectively, and meeting the expectations of the customer. Ensures the professional performance of the team in support of the Operations Department providing accurate information so that jobs are completed in a timely and comprehensive manner to perform work safely. Produce and act upon formal proposals and quotes for customers as requested.

Requirements
Knowledge of crane rental, heavy hauling, and rigging industry to answer customer inquiries to formulate accurate customer proposals. Knowledge and ability to effectively use Microsoft Office suite applications and Adobe Acrobat. Ability to conduct on-site job visits to determine site conditions for crane rental placement, radius, site conditions, equipment entrances and exits, jobsite hazards, site directions and site contacts. Ability to gather specific information to determine and produce a professional quotation/proposal based on information gathered in a timely manner to meet the needs of the customer. Ability to organize and maintain calendars and schedules to guarantee all signed proposals are scheduled and dispatched. Ability to track competitive pricing and competitive trends to stay informed of changing and evolving market conditions. Ability to respond, negotiate, and close sales opportunities. Ability to read, understand, and react to contract documents and requirements. Ability to read and make estimates from blue prints is preferred. Ability to maintain records and complete reports using strong organizational skills. Must be highly motivated and able to prioritize multiple tasks and to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently under pressure effectively as well as be an effective team member. Demonstrates strong customer focus skills, effective documentation, teamwork, problem-solving, and communication skills. Excellent oral and written communications, and human relations skills. Strong and demonstrated desire for working safely and promoting a culture of safety in the workplace.
High school diploma or GED required; some college preferred. Possesses data entry and computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and Adobe Acrobat. Experience in trucking, crane mobilization, setup and operations, and associated terminology is considered an asset. Other combinations of applicable education, training, and experience, which provide the knowledge, abilities, and skills necessary to perform in the position may be considered.
Examples of Duties and Responsibilities
· Receives calls from both internal and external customers soliciting input for proposals with ability to manage the sales process from start to finish for you and your team.
· Readily seeks sales opportunities to sell the reputation and dependability of the Company through cold calling, current established relationships, and rebuilt relationships with former customers.
· Conducts on-site job visits to determine all site conditions for proposed crane rental placement, radius, site conditions, entrance and exits, jobsite hazards, site directions, and site contacts.
· Maintain contact with internal and external customers to confirm project details and specifications any special instructions for the purposes of producing a competitive proposal to win work.
· Maintains a positive attitude and proper time management skills to perform work.
· Work with other departments to ensure compliance with all contracts, specifications, work plans, safety, and all other contract deliverables.
· Coordinates with all stakeholders accordingly to ensure accurate and safe performance of work after the work is awarded.
· Speaks to customers or supervising personnel to address questions, problems, and requests for service or equipment.
· Records and maintains files and records of customer requests, work or services performed, charges, expenses, inventory, and other information.
· Participates in the determination of types or amounts of equipment, vehicles, personnel, and permits required per work order or specifications.
· Organizes and maintains calendars and schedules to monitor the work that is to be done and follow up with the customer to monitor customer satisfaction.
· Maintain a professional image and demeanor when in the field and when in the office.
· Performs all and any other duties as assigned.
Special Requirements
· Position operates computer terminal for prolonged periods and may require sitting/standing for extended periods of time.
· Must maintain an excellent driving record.
· Must be able to lift items up to 25 pounds.
· Must be reliable, punctual, and able to function at a high level as part of a team.
· Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
