Business Solutions Manager (Hybrid - Hopkins, MN or Norwalk, CT)

We are seeking a Business Solutions Architect player/coach to lead our Business Systems team. This position bridges the gap between business needs and technology by designing, implementing and transforming our IT solutions that directly address specific business problems; you will analyze business requirements, identify suitable technology options, and create a comprehensive architectural blueprint to guide the development and deployment of solutions, ensuring alignment with overall business goals and objectives.

Requirements gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs, pain points, and desired outcomes to define clear requirements for a solution.

Solution design: Develop a high-level architecture, including system components, data flows, integrations, and technology stack, considering feasibility, scalability, and performance.

Technical analysis: Evaluate available technologies and platforms to select the most appropriate solution for the business needs.

Cost estimation: Provide cost projections for solution development and implementation, including hardware, software, and personnel.

Documentation: Create detailed technical documentation outlining the solution architecture, design decisions, and implementation plan.

Stakeholder communication: Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment and buy-in.

Project oversight: Collaborate with development teams to guide implementation, ensuring adherence to the architectural design and project timelines.

 

 

Education: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.

Experience: 10 years' relevant experience as a business analyst, solutions or application architect, or related experience.

Expertise: in designing business solutions, including contract management, quoting, billing, and large-scale equipment provisioning systems.

Business acumen: Deep understanding of business processes, operations, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to align technology solutions with business goals.

Technical expertise: Proficiency in relevant technology domains like cloud computing, data management, application development, and system integration.

Architecture design: Ability to design robust, scalable, and flexible system architectures.

Problem-solving: Strong analytical skills to identify root causes of business problems and devise effective solutions.

Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams including developers, project managers, and business stakeholders.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $130,500– $204,000. Pay ranges are determined by role, job level and primary job location.  The range displayed reflects the reasonable range we anticipate paying for this position and reflects the cost of labor within several U.S. geographic markets. The specific salary offered within the range will depend on various factors including, but not limited to the candidate’s relevant and prior experience, education, skills, and primary work location.  It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each position. Pay ranges are typically reviewed and updated annually.
