Position Overview:
The Shipping Team Members process customer orders from around the world, ensuring final steps for accurate delivery are complete and all orders are provided to the carriers for same day shipping, satisfying our customer's needs in a fast-paced environment.This is considered an essential onsite role, which requires regular onsite attendance.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 1:30 pm - 10:00 pm
Responsibilities:
- Process orders efficiently and accurately
- Attach labels to sort to either the carrier baskets, carrier line, or directly out to the truck
- Train into carrier specific software programs, Fed Ex Ship Manager, UPS WorldShip, USPS Endicia, DHL EasyShip, and show a demonstrated ability to process orders correctly
- Ability to read order notes and make the best determination of the next step in processing the order
- Work hand in hand with IT troubleshooting errors with the ability to recognize and thoroughly explain the error that is occurring
- Process invoices
- Attempt post and either place on the belt or send it back and run post command
- Act with a high level of courtesy as a liaison between Sales, Customer Service, Logistics, Accounts Receivable, and PDC answering customer order questions
- Handle customer change-order requests when applicable
- Perform other duties as assigned including but not limited to possible reallocation of efforts to other organizations per business need and management request
Pallet Shipping:
- Operate pallet jacks, pallet jack scale, and pallet wrapping machine
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English
- Basic computer navigation and typing skills
- Ability to actively participate as a team member in order to meet departmental goals
- Ability to provide a positive, professional and enthusiastic outlook or perspective
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task as well as the ability to change focus quickly based on requests by employees/management
- Able to solve problems quickly and efficiently
- Dependable, responsible contributor committed to excellence and success
- Adapt to changes in software and processes quickly, and accurately
Tools/Systems/Software:
- ERP
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform repetitive hand, wrist and arm motion
- Capable of spending 8-10 hours walking/standing on concrete
- Regularly lift up to 35 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. with assistance
- Ability to twist or bend and occasionally climb stairs
- Ability to reach with hands and arms above shoulder level
Pallet Shipping
- Use of pallet jack up to 60 lbs. with heavier packages requiring team lift
- Use of PIV equipment ( Cushman cart, Electric Pallet jack, Stand on Pallet jack and Fort lift)
Compensation:
The starting base pay rate for this position is:
$18.00
