What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electronics Technician (OnSite) position at Digi-Key Electronics?
The PDC Technician will perform tasks associated with providing electronic component technical support in the Product Distribution Center.
- Be liaison between Receiving, Technical department and Records Maintenance to resolve receiving issues with new product and existing inventory to ensure flags/notes are entered to address special handling or shipping requirements.
- Review custom cable and battery assembly specifications from customers and ensure a quality product is assembled.
- Coordinate and manage the PDC calibration program and oversee the battery cable room machine calibration inspection requirements.
- Analyze product to determine if defective or damaged and notify quality department as necessary about product storage issues associated with findings.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Electronics Technology with a minimum grade point average of 2.50 or equivalent experience in the electronics field.
- Knowledge base of processes/procedures required for ESD and MSL compliancy.
- Strong organization skills and ability to manage/perform multiple tasks in a timely manner.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Decision making and problem solving ability.
