Position Overview :
The Software Engineer is responsible for the production of quality code, effective team participation, and contributions to the continuous improvement of the team.
Responsibilities :
- Active and productive member of the Ecommerce Mobile Application Development team as an Android (Kotlin and Java languages) developer..
- Provide Java application software development functions in a support role on other applications as needed or determined by Ecommerce Core Operations priorities emerge.
- Build and deliver systems using software development best practices and architectural guidelines that meets business purpose
- Participate in the analysis, implementation, and adoption of new or modified work methods, processes, and technologies
- Participate in the analysis and debug existing systems and provide recommendations for improvements
- Participate in writing of technical documentation including but not limited to readme, design, api, etc
- Participate in the work planning for development tasks, preparing time estimates, and monitor project completion using standard project management tools. (for Agile / Sprint Review, etc.)
- Deliver excellent customer service with urgency and ownership
- Provide assistance to team members to accomplish team objectives
- Demonstrate proven behavioral skills, including being a team player, sound thinking and judgment, achieving results, relating to people, managing work effectively, and leading by example
- Participate in Developer Community of Practice

Many factors influence the determination of base pay within a range, including the candidate's work experience in related roles; the candidate's knowledge, skills, capabilities, and performance; the relative pay of other DigiKey employees in similar roles; and the budget available for the position.
