Position Overview:
The Automotive Paid Search Manager is responsible for building, optimizing, and scaling paid search campaigns across platforms like Google Ads and Bing Ads. This role requires both hands-on execution and strategic thinking, with a deep understanding of the automotive space and a passion for delivering performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end management of paid search campaigns for automotive clients—from setup to optimization and reporting.
- Perform keyword research, audience targeting, and competitor analysis to inform campaign strategy.
- Write high-performing ad copy that adheres to brand and OEM compliance guidelines.
- Manage budgets and bidding strategies to meet lead generation and cost-per-acquisition (CPA) goals.
- Analyze performance metrics (CTR, CPC, Quality Score, conversion rate, etc.) and adjust campaigns accordingly.
- Collaborate with account managers and creative teams to ensure alignment across marketing initiatives.
- Stay current on Google Ads updates, auto industry trends, and emerging PPC strategies.
- Produce clear and insightful performance reports for internal stakeholders and clients.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience managing paid search campaigns, ideally within an agency or automotive-focused environment.
- Proficiency in Google Ads, Bing Ads, and Google Analytics.
- Familiarity with platforms like Dealer.com, CDK Global, VinSolutions, or other automotive CRMs.
- Experience working with Google Tag Manager and conversion tracking setup.
- Google Ads Certification required; Microsoft Advertising Certification a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, especially when interfacing with clients.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience with OEM co-op compliance and digital program guidelines.
- Knowledge of local inventory ads, dynamic search ads, and video pre-roll strategies for auto dealerships.
