What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hardware Specialist (Journeyman) position at DigiFlight?
Digiflight, Inc. is looking for a Hardware Specialist to support the Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) products software products, services, and technologies implemented throughout CD enterprise. The Hardware Specialist will coordinate in supporting engineering services for network and end user hardware on the infrastructure. She/he will support the transition of networks and data management process to improve network capabilities and end user experience while decreasing life cycle costs and improving the operational readiness and execution.
Primary Responsibilities
a) Provides analysis related to the design, development, and implementation of hardware for products
b) Develops test strategies, devices, and systems
c) Performs stress and performance tests on a variety of computer hardware including circuit boards, processors, and wiring.
d) The specialist is to identify requirements for hardware and software to support innovation, development, integration, and test environments.
e) The specialist will develop, deliver, maintain, and implement plans, processes, and techniques to identify, quantify, and monitor hardware and software assets (including licenses and maintenance agreements).
f) Providing the capabilities necessary to define, track, and control licenses procured under the contract and those licenses provided by the Government for the full period of performance of the contract.
g) Support the development and delivery required reporting to track/audit hardware (equipment, parts, and materials) and software vendors, titles, licenses, quantities, costs, versions, and usage to ensure compliance with the terms and conditions of each.
Basic Qualifications
a) Candidate must have experience conducting logistical support and with resource accountability
b) Experience participating in audits and physical asset verification within home site and throughout the enterprise
c) Experience aiding in Planning and executing Enterprise Life-cycle Management
d) Experience maintaining process documentation as Configuration Management processes improve/change
e) Experience providing artifacts as needed to support Certification and Accreditation for systems and services.
f) Instruct and train other team members and management staff regarding document control and configuration management use and processes.
g) Experience providing recommendations and best practices to improve existing CM processes and procedures.
h) Experience ensuring configuration management program conforms to all required U.S. Government and Department of Defense rules and requirements.
Candidate must be a US Citizen.
Candidate must have an active TS/SCI
Candidate must have a MA/MS degree with a minimum of three to ten years of exp. This may be substituted with a BS/BA degree and a minimum of six to twelve years of total experience.
